From the beginning of April, the brand Consenza is part of the portfolio of de Smaakspecialist. The acquisition of the brand has been successfully completed by both parties.
The takeover was announced today by Pieter Dirven, founder of de Smaakspecialist. “The brand fits in well with the organization’s strategy,” says Pieter. “It offers an extension of our range in the Health Food category, specifically aimed at gluten-free.” For de Smaakspecialist, it is a new segment and therefore complementary to the brands Smaakt, BioToday and RAW Organic Food. Furthermore, the synergy benefits in the areas of purchasing, production and also sales played a role in the takeover.

Consenza has a wide and accessible range within the gluten-free category. Helene Lokhoff (Product Development): “The further development of the range with the ambition: the tasteful and responsible choice within gluten-free, will be central in 2020. With this we want to match the milestones of de Smaakspecialist: organic products and without added refined sugars.”

The Consenza team is also very happy with the affiliation with de Smaakspecialist. “Consenza is a beautiful brand that has been renowned over the years in the Gluten-free category. The brand is ready for the next step, both in terms of positioning and range.
